Dr. Samaria R. Washington is the Regional Director of SNF Operations at BridgePoint Healthcare, as well as the Interim SNF Administrator of BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital - National Harborside. She provides daily operational support, and directs the programs and activities of the region to maintain the highest quality of care and healthcare services. Her expertise lies in Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Assisted Living, policy analysis, staff education, governmental regulations, and community resources with over 25 years of progressive experience in the long-term healthcare industry.

She has managed facility operations, developed growth and expansion projects including strategies to improve quality of healthcare, for several nursing facilities with for-profit and non-profit organizations. Samaria has managed facilities in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC where she provided developmental and administrative oversight and managed up to 200 healthcare professionals at each facility.

Samaria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration, a Respiratory Therapy Certificate, and is a Certified Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Trainer with a proven record of cultivating positive community relations internally as well as healthcare providers in all settings and referral sources.

She resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland with her spouse and three children.

Mike Grubb serves as the Chief Financial Officer for BridgePoint Hospital National Harborside. With over 26 years of experience in finance and accounting, Mike is responsible for managing the financial operations of the facility and possesses a strong background in budgeting/forecasting and cash management.

Prior to joining the BridgePoint team, Mike has served as the Chief Financial Officer for Kindred Hospital South Bay, Los Angeles Metropolitan Medical Center, and Vista Hospital of South Bay, located in Southern California.

Valerie Hayes, RN, serves as the Chief Clinical Officer for BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital - National Harborside. With over 18 years of experience working in the healthcare sector, Valerie is responsible for directing and coordinating functions and activities of the nursing department and assigned clinical operation departments for our National Harbor hospital. Additionally, she is responsible for establishing, directing and implementing the Standards of Nursing Practice and the clinical operations and financial matters related to all nursing and clinical areas and functions.

Prior to becoming Chief Clinical Officer, Valerie served as the Director of Nursing at BridgePoint Hospital National Harborside since 2015. Throughout her career she has held several roles in the healthcare sector such as Nurse Manager at Chartered Health Center and Director of Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Services at United Medical Center.

Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science of Nursing and a Masters in Healthcare Administration.
